01What telehealth is
Telehealth is the delivery of healthcare using secure electronic communication rather than an in-person visit. Through StagMD, a US-licensed clinician can review the health information you submit and, if appropriate, provide a diagnosis, treatment plan, or prescription without a face-to-face appointment.
01bWho actually treats you
Care is delivered by independent, US-licensed clinicians working through Dr Telx LLC, a Washington management services organisation, and its affiliated professional entities. StagMD is a telehealth platform — we are not a medical practice and we do not employ the clinicians.

02How the StagMD visit works
Your visit is primarily asynchronous: you complete a detailed health questionnaire, and a licensed clinician reviews it on their own schedule. The clinician may message you for more information before making a decision. If treatment is appropriate, a prescription is sent to a licensed US pharmacy for fulfillment.
03Benefits
Benefits of telehealth may include convenient and private access to care, avoiding travel and waiting rooms, and timely review by a licensed clinician. Benefits cannot be guaranteed and depend on your individual circumstances.
04Risks & limitations
Telehealth has limitations. Because the clinician cannot physically examine you, there is a risk that a condition may not be diagnosed or that a recommendation is based on incomplete information. Technology may fail or delay care, and there are inherent risks to transmitting information electronically. In some cases the clinician may determine that an in-person evaluation is necessary and decline to treat you remotely.
05No guarantee of treatment
Completing the assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis, prescription, or any particular outcome. The clinician exercises independent professional judgment and may decline to prescribe. If treatment is not provided because it is not clinically appropriate for you, the authorization hold on your card is released and you are never charged.
06Not for emergencies
StagMD is not for medical emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency, such as chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a prolonged or painful erection, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use StagMD to obtain urgent or emergency care.
07Medication safety
Treatments offered through StagMD may be compounded at a licensed US pharmacy and may combine several active ingredients that are prescribed off-label in combination. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before marketing. You should understand and discuss the following with your clinician:
- Do not use with nitrates (often prescribed for chest pain) or if you have significant or unstable cardiovascular disease — the combination can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
- Alpha-blockers (for example tamsulosin or silodosin, often taken for the prostate) can lower blood pressure; tell your clinician about all medications you take.
- Priapism: seek emergency care for an erection lasting more than 4 hours.
- Common side effects can include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, and indigestion; less common but serious effects include sudden vision or hearing changes.
- Combining multiple actives in a single dose is not a standard, guaranteed regimen; your clinician determines what is clinically appropriate for you.
08Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate and complete health information, to follow your clinician’s instructions, to report side effects, and to seek in-person or emergency care when needed. Withholding information may make treatment unsafe or ineffective.
09Privacy & records
Information you share is handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable health-privacy laws. Your treating clinician and pharmacy maintain your medical and dispensing records. You may request access to your records as permitted by law.
10Alternatives & right to withdraw
You have the right to seek in-person care instead of, or in addition to, telehealth, and to withdraw this consent at any time without affecting care you have already received. Withdrawing consent may mean that treatment through StagMD cannot continue.
11Your consent
By continuing, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this consent, that you have had the opportunity to ask questions, and that you consent to receive care via telehealth through StagMD and its independent clinicians and pharmacies. This assessment is not a diagnosis; a licensed clinician makes all treatment decisions.
